ECW Changes, Piper, Austin, Foley Set For Cyber Sunday Involvement

September 30th, 2007 by Brian Cantor

WWE news & notes.

– WWE is planning on calling several developmental names up to the ECW roster in the immediate term. The most recent edition of ECW did a very poor 1.1 rating.

– Roddy Piper told fans at the G.I. Joe Convention in Atlanta that he will be on the WWE Cyber Sunday “ballot.” According to one report, Piper said that he will be one of the available choices for a guest referee in the match featuring The Great Khali — Mick Foley and Steve Austin will be the other options.

Ads running in Canada support Piper’s claim; the advertised matches include Randy Orton vs. John Cena (fans select the stipulation) and The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry vs. Batista vs. Khali (fans select the guest referee from the aforementioned choices).
