Report: Was Dupree Released For Drug Use?

A source ponders whether drugs played a role in Dupree’s release.
1Wrestling.com reports that drug use might have played a part in Rene Dupree’s release from World Wrestling Entertainment.
According to the website’s Bob Ryder, Dupree had recently completed a sixty day stint in rehab for drug use. Sources say Dupree abused somas while working in Ohio Valley Wrestling earlier this year.
The report of Dupree’s apparent stint in rehab confirms stories from March that speculated Dupree had been benched due to a drug offense and was in hot water with WWE.
It should be noted that even if the report of Dupree’s stay in rehab is true, no official information has been released regarding a motive for Dupree’s firing. Until more confirmation is available, such reports should be taken merely as speculation.
