Latest: Benoit Strangled Wife, Smothered Son, Hanged Self

The latest on this shocking tragedy.
The latest Associated Press report says that officials investigating the Benoit family tragedy believe wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room.
The believe is that Benoit killed his family members over the weekend before taking his own life on Monday. The bodies were discovered Monday afternoon.
WWE, which turned its scheduled Monday RAW program into a tribute show after first learning of Benoit’s death, has begun distancing itself from the wrestler in light of the story’s latest developments.
In addition to now reporting the incident as a straight news story, WWE removed links to its collection of tribute media from the main page of WWE.com.
