Benoit used company to obtain steroids as recently as last year.

The Albany County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday that Chris Benoit was a customer of south Florida company MedXLife, which has been implicated in a probe of illegal steroid sales.

Benoit, who apparently killed his wife and son before taking his own life over the weekend, was reportedly a client of the company as recently as last year. Anabolic steroids, apparently with valid prescriptions, were discovered in the home of the deceased.

Earlier this year, two of the MedXLife co-owners admitted to assisting customers in obtaining prescription drugs without medical needs.

According to the pair, Signature Pharmacy of Orlando filled orders for the clients.
