Royce Gracie Tests Positive For Steroids

Gracie test turns up positive.
MMA legend Royce Gracie tested positive for traces of anabolic steroid Nandrolone following his victory over Kazushi Sakuraba at the June 2 Dynamite!! USA show.
Barring a reversal due to appeal, Gracie will serve a one-year suspension for the failure, as dictated by the California State Athletic Commission. He will also pay a fine.
CSAC rules do not, however, call for decisions to be reversed in the wake of drug test failures. Thus, Gracie’s victory will still stand.
Sakuraba, along with fellow fighters Brock Lesnar and Min Soo Kim, tested negative for banned substances.
