Who might be the next Celebrity in WWE’s Hall Of Fame?
The Wrestling-Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is trying to secure Muhammad Ali for induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame’s Celebrity Wing.
Since Ali, who wrestled Antonio Inoki in 1976 and appeared at WrestleMania I as an outside referee, resides in Detroit, the site of this year’s WrestleMania weekend, WWE would like to induct him (and accept the publicity that would come with it).
Should the deal happen, his daughter Laila Ali is the leading candidate to induct him into the Hall.
Other celebrities in the WWE Hall Of Fame are Pete Rose and William “The Refrigerator” Perry.
