Chris Jericho Expects To Return, SmackDown! Rating

Jericho gearing for a WWE return?
– Former WWE Diva Search Winner Ashley Massaro interviews Chris Jericho in her latest “Bangin’ With Ashley” column. Jericho definitely showed optimism about making a WWE return, offering, “I never planned to be away [this] long, and absolutely I plan on coming back. I’ve just had a lot of projects I’ve been working on, and each time one finishes up, another one starts, but I do hope the time will come soon that I come back and I’ll be better than ever. The Jerichoholics and myself would expect nothing less!”
– Last night’s WWE SmackDown! posted a 2.6/5 rating, tying FOX’s lineup to give The CW a fourth place finish. Interestingly enough, the second hour of SmackDown! narrowly defeated FOX’s “Celebrity Duets” results show. The rating’s return to normal levels should prove that the recent string of ratings in the 1.0 ballpark was the result of preemptions stemming from the CW/UPN/WB shakeup and not a loss of interest in the product.
