More On Why Christian Quit World Wrestling Entertainment

October 31st, 2005 by Brian Cantor

Christian wrestled his final match for WWE at last night’s SmackDown! taping

After expressing disappointment with the contract renewal offer he received last week, WWE’s Christian officially quit the company. He wrestled his last match Sunday night.

Christian, who has been unhappy in WWE for quite some time, believed that he should have been offered more money. His quitting is absolutely legitimate, although WWE could end up turning it into a storyline later on.

Similar to Chris Jericho, Christian has saved up enough money to divorce himself from WWE without major financial reprecussions. While Jericho will eventually be returning, however, there is no guarantee that Christian will ever return to a WWE ring.

Because the wrestler resides in Florida, speculation is already running rampant about a possible deal with TNA. Although it couldn’t match WWE’s financial might (and money seemed to be an issue for Christian), TNA would offer a very convenient mechanism for Christian to remain in the wrestling industry.
